Spring Dance

In honor of National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Native Women, Girls & Relatives, the American Indian Cultural Center of SF presents the Spring Dance. With California Native dancers, Native vendors, food & drinks. Main Parade Ground Lawn (upper/southern section), Montgomery Street, San Francisco. 

Vela Muxe Week

May 14-19, 2024

Mission Cultural Center is celebrating the international event Vela Muxe Guachachi with several events including a procession from Castro to Mission Cultural Center on May 17. There will also be Muxe makeup and hairstyling workshops, a Muxe movie night, and Muxe movie brunch. See www.missionculturalcenter.org for details.  



Powwow Dance & Drum Classes

Thursdays in May 2024

The American Indian Cultural Center of San Francisco holds weekly Powwow Dance and Drum Classes every Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1661 15th Street, San Francisco. This is a drug and alcohol free event. Community meal at 5:30 PM and class at 6:30 PM. For more information contact communications@aiccsf.org.


The INDIGEQUEER Tour

Saturday, May 18, 2024

9:00 PM to Midnight

The Seattle performance, experience and dance party is coming to the East Bay. Dancing, live music, and performances, featuring host dj “the evening star” at La Peña Cultural Center, 3105 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley. $15-35 tickets. 


Embodied Resistance: An Indigenous Fashion Show

Saturday, May 18, 2024, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Witness models showcasing designs that challenge norms and celebrate Indigeneity. This event is a fusion of fashion and culture, where creativity meets resilience. Doors open at 5 PM, show starts at 6 PM. Donation-based tickets, pay what you can. Nikko Hotel Ballrooom, San Francisco.
